It's that time again when Hertfordshire and England Netball need your help to say a massive thank you to our huge volunteer workforce. The Goalden Globe Awards 2011 nominations are now open!
Each region will choose a regional winner from each of the 10 competitive categories. The winners will be announced at the regional Goalden Globe Awards 2011 being held across the Country. Each nomination will also be put forward for the equivalent Hertfordshire Netball Awards held in June
Regional winners will then be put forward for the National Award which will be announced at the National Goalden Globe Awards 2011 being held in September.
With ten different categories, there really is something for everyone. So, now it's down to you.... who needs to be recognised in your area?
The Coach Award is presented to a coach who has made an outstanding contribution to their club/organisation and progression of netball athletes.
The Grassroots Coach Award is presented to a volunteer coach who has made an outstanding contribution to getting more people engaging, growing and staying in netball through high quality coaching.
The Mary Bulloch Administrator Award is presented to a volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution to the development of netball at any level by way of administration.
The Netball Teacher Award is presented to a teacher who has made an outstanding contribution to the development of netball in primary and / or secondary school, outside of their statutory teaching responsibilities.
The Outstanding Netball Club Award is presented to a netball club which has made an outstanding contribution within their community.
The Inclusive Netball Volunteer Award is presented to a volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution to the development of netball which is inclusive to minority groups e.g. disabled people, disadvantaged communities, men and boys or people from black and minority ethnic populations.
The Muriel McNally Award is presented to a volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution to the development of netball at grassroots level for 10 years or more.
The Officials Award is presented to a volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution to officiating in netball.
The Rose Award is presented to a volunteer or organisation that has made a notable contribution to netball in any capacity which may encompass any aspect of the game and its administration.
The Young Netball Volunteer Award is presented to a young person who has made an outstanding contribution to the development of netball through volunteering.
Nominations are also sort for the England Netball Long Service Award. Nominations must be made or seconded by a County Association and are awarded nationally in September at the Goalden Globe Awards.
The England Netball Long Service Award is presented to volunteers who have given sefless outstanding service for 25 years or more by the way of administration, coaching or umpiring at one or more of the following levels, county, regional, national and international level.
