Development

Across Hertfordshire as a whole, the development of Netball is defined by the HNA Whole Sport Plan (WSP) and is based on the local authorities districts and the School Sport Partnerships.Strong partnerships have been forged with both these groups. The vision is to provide each of the ten local authorities a minimum of one open age group league, one junior/youth league and one High Five league. In addition, there is support for the development of school children within the school curriculum as well after school activities.There is a long way to go and this model provides a clear basis for development.

The HNA Whole Sport Plan provides a coherent set of development opportunities aimed at the affiliated membership. Broadly speaking, at the centre is the Netball Club that provides the infrastructure and support for Netball provision. Clubs affiliate to England Netball via their Leagues and HNA. All Leagues in Hertfordshire are organised at central venues, facilities are generally provided by local authorities or sports centres.
