Officials Technical Group

What is the OTG?

The OTG, or the Officials Technical Group, is responsible for all umpire and match officials matters in the County, in particular umpiring standards.

The OTG consists of an Umpiring Representative from each of the major leagues in Herts, plus a Chairman, County Umpiring Secretary, Treasurer, and Award Co-ordinators.

The OTG organises mentoring, assessment and testing of C Award umpires, plus the mentoring of B Award umpires.

They organise courses up to the C Award and the Table Officials, and put forward umpires for the B Award to the East Region.

Significantly, the OTG develop many new schemes and programmes to meet the needs of officials, many of which are accepted by England Netball for national roll out.
