Affiliation and Fees
All participants that play in Hertfordshire leagues must affiliate via their club to England Netball, fees as below. The fee covers the playing year from September 1st to August 31st the following year, and includes the Herts County, East Region and National fees.
Every player must affiliate to their main club as FIRST CLAIM and pay the full fee via this club. If a player plays for another club they must be affiliated to that club as SECOND CLAIM - in this case they do not pay a further fee to ENGLAND NETBALL, just a further HERTFORDSHIRE fee (see below). Teams who affiliate through another County but who also play in Hertfordshire leagues pay the Hertfordshire fee only for all players who will play. This situation applies for teams who keep the same club name; if a club plays in Hertfordshire but under a different name, they must affiliate again as if they are a "new club".

Each club must provide full names and addresses of their members along with a note of the respective FIRST CLAIM CLUB (name and affiliation number) when paying the reduced 2nd claim fee. Likewise players aged under 18 (as at 1st September) must state their date of birth in order to qualify for the junior rate. A Young Persons Group consists of all players under 18 as at 1st September with up to 2 non-playing adults.
Additional members can be added to a club at any time during the year by sending details to the Treasurer (using the form provided) and paying the appropriate fee.
Schools affiliate directly with England Netball under their name only and are not required to name their players.
All players and clubs are covered by insurance against third party liability and limited personal accident mainly only fatal accident and permanent disablement when playing on behalf of Hertfordshire County Netball, providing they have affiliated via club. More extensive personal injury cover is available via England Netball. There is no cover for schools as they have their own arrangements.
